Harry just posted the stripey photo on instagram with the caption "chains around my feet" which is pretty telling in itself. But yeah, it's a Johny Cash reference.
A sad one. Because someone just pointed out that he posted it on the start of the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney and wikipedia just confirmed it:
